Putting widgets on Joomla

Follow

Note: If you've pasted a widget's code onto your Joomla site and don't see anything when you load the page, you may not have your Joomla setup to allow for JavaScript. In this case, please contact your web developer.

1. Changing the Default Editor

Note: You have to be a "Super-Administrator" of your Joomla site in order to make this change. You can read more about the levels of accounts here http://docs.joomla.org/Changing_user_groups

  1. In the Joomla Administrator area, go to Global Configuration (some Joomla websites may have the Default Editor option under Profile)
  2. Under Site Settings, change Default Editor to Editor - None
  3. Save

2. Adding the Module

  1. Go to Module Manager
  2. Click New
  3. Click Custom HTML
  4. In HealCode, click on the Title of the desired widget
  5. At the bottom of the page, in Deploy Your Widget section, click the copy widget code to clipboard button
  6. In Joomla, paste the widget code into the Custom HTML text box
  7. On the right-hand side, change the Position and other settings

3. Assign to Page(s)

  1. Click on Menu Assignment
