Missing Info and How Updating Works for Widgets

Follow

Though much of the data in your HealCode widgets update automatically and in real-time - not all of it does. So if you have made a change in your MINDBODY account and it hasn't shown up in the output of your widget, you'll need to do a manual update in one or more widget control panels in your HealCode account.

Performing such an update takes less than a minute. You may, of course, need to refresh your browser to see the change.

Here is how updating works for HealCode's widgets - including both what updates automatically and must be manually updated.

Schedule Widget

For the Schedule Widget, we have caching on some information. If you change the name of a class or when it's offered, you might want to sync. You also don't have to. Our cache expires about once an hour. In other words, if you don't do anything after making a change in MINDBODY, the Schedule Widget will update on its own and sync with your MINDBODY account in about an hour.

However, you can manually update the widget using this help article.

Class cancellations and changes in the teacher of the class will update immediately on your website.

Also, we recommend in the Schedule Widget that you do not check the checkboxes of Staff Members. The way our widgets work is that if "no" staff member check boxes are checked - then all classes and enrollments offered will show up in the widgets' respective outputs. And in the case of this widget, most clients want classes, enrollments and class descriptions to show up for all classes and enrollments no matter who teaches them.

Enrollments Widget

For the Enrollments Widget, if you make a change, it will immediately show up in the output of your widget, so long as the change was to an enrollment that's part of an existing Program or Class Type. Also, if it was a teacher change - it, too, will immediately show up in the output so long as it's an existing teacher whose already listed among the teachers in the widget's control panel (see the Advanced Options part of the control panel).

Also, we recommend in the Schedule Widget and Enrollments Widget that you do not check the checkboxes of Staff Members. The way our widgets work is that if "no" staff member check boxes are checked - then all classes and enrollments offered will show up in the widgets' respective outputs. And in the case of these widgets, most clients want classes, enrollments and class descriptions to show up for all classes and enrollments no matter who teaches them.

Staff List Widget

In the Staff List Widget, if no checkboxes of staff members are checked, then all staff members will show up in the output of the widget. Changes to staff bios take an hour to be reflected in this widget.

Class List Widget

Similar to the Schedule Widget and Enrollments Widget, we recommend that you do not check the checkboxes of Staff Members. Changes to class descriptions and staff public bios take an hour to be reflected in this widget.

Hotwords

Here's how updating works for what are referred to as "Hot Words" in MINDBODY. If you change a Hot Word (in the Language Settings area of your MINDBODY account), you'll need to click "Update Hotwords from MINDBODY" in the widget that you want to see the Hotword updated in. This is how you would update the word "Trainer," for example, in the Schedule Widget to another word like "Instructor" or "Teacher."
