All HealCode widgets are compatible with the most recent version of Internet Explorer. However, you may still not be able to see the widget with the most recent version.
Usually the reason that the widget is not loading in Internet Explorer is because the website contains a <meta> tag that tells the browser to view the webpage as Internet Explorer 7.0 would view it.
To check if this is affecting the site, do the following:
- Open your browser and navigate to the page that contains the widget
- Right-click anywhere within the webpage
Select "Firebug Lite" and then "Inspect" at the top of the console that pops up
(If you do not see Firebug Lite, click "Inspect" if available. If you do not see "Inspect" please follow the directions on this page for your browser: http://cms.about.com/od/cms-basics/a/Get-The-Inspect-Element-Tool-For-Your-Browser.htm)
- Expand the tag <head> by clicking the plus or arrow sign.
- Look for the <meta> tag that looks like this:
<meta http-equiv=“X-UA-Compatible” content=“IE=7”></meta>
You will need a web designer to remove this tag. Use this image as a reference:
